PS1 MOVEMENT COMPETENCY
The learner will be able to
demonstrate competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities.

RHYI.HS.1.1 Dance
The learner will be able to
competency using the critical elements in aerobic, folk, square, circle, line, hip-hop, modern, swing, or couples dance.

RHYI.HS.1.2 Rope Jumping
The learner will be able to
demonstrate competency using critical elements using short, long, and double dutch rope jumping skills.

RHYI.HS.1.3 Rhythmic Manipulatives
The learner will be able to
demonstrate competency using critical elements using ribbons, wands, streamers, hoops, and rhythmic sticks to various rhythms, beats, and tempos.

The learner will be able to
further develop bilateral coordination eye-hand coordination by performing basic juggling skills.

demonstrate the understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of rhythms and dance.

RHYI.HS.2.1 Locomotor Movement
The learner will be able to
vary the movement concepts of personal and general space, effort, time, and flow during locomotor and nonlocomotor movements.

RHYI.HS.2.2 Movement Formations
The learner will be able to
create movement sequences using various formations (i.e. scattered, circular, linear, window, and
staggered.

The learner will be able to
create movement sequences using varied beat and rhythm (i.e. 3/4, 4/4, even, and uneven beat, and varied tempos).
