PS2: MOVEMENT CONCEPTS
The learner will be able to demonstrate an understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they relate to the learning and performance of physical activities.
  
OE.HS.2.1 Terminology
The learner will be able to know and apply the correct terminology related to angling, archery, backpacking, camping, cooking, hiking, and orienting.
  
OE.HS.2.2 Regulations
The learner will be able to know and apply the State of Georgia and Department of Natural Resources laws, rules, and regulations governing all outdoor sports and activities.

Skill and Technique

PS 3: MOVEMENT CONCEPTS AND PRINCIPLES
The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities.
  
OE.HS.3.1 Archery
The learner will be able to demonstrate the ability to string, draw, aim, and release an arrow from a bow.
  
OE.HS.3.2 Outdoor Cooking
The learner will be able to demonstrate the ability to plan, construct, and safely use an outdoor cooking area.
  
OE.HS.3.3 Camping
The learner will be able to demonstrate the ability to select an appropriate camp site and set up various types of tents.
  
OE.HS.3.4 Topographic Maps
The learner will be able to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret a topographic map.
  
OE.HS.3.5 Navigation
The learner will be able to design a hiking route using a compass and topographic map.
  
OE.HS.3.6 Angling
The learner will be able to identify various fish in Georgia lakes and streams.
  
OE.HS.3.7 Casting
The learner will be able to demonstrate the ability to cast open and closed fishing reels and use the proper bait needed for specific types of fish.

The learner will be able to achieve and maintain a health enhancing level of physical fitness.

The learner will be able to construct an appropriate first aid kit needed for outdoor activities.

The learner will be able to identify threats to personal safety in various outdoor settings.
  
OE.HS.4.3 First Aid Procedures
The learner will be able to know and demonstrate first aid procedures for cuts, bruises, sprains, fractures, shock, burns, and breathing emergencies.
  
OE.HS.4.4 Rescue Techniques
The learner will be able to recognize and apply basic search and rescue techniques to use in outdoor settings.

PS 5 Personal and Social Responsibility
The learner will be able to exhibit responsible personal and social behavior to respect self and others in physical activity settings.
  
OE.HS.5.1 Environmental Sustainability
The learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the factors that influence environmental sustainability (ie. population, resources, environmental degradation, ecosystems, federal/state legislation).
